Why Relying on OpenAI Can Stall Executive Projects

Openai. The promise made by Big Tech companies with the advancement of Generative AI is enticing: operational efficiency, speed, and automated execution. However, when applied to high-level consulting, digital architecture, or professional publishing, blind reliance on OpenAI and ChatGPT Plus reveals critical structural vulnerabilities.

The problem extends beyond software limitations—such as code hallucinations and outdated guidelines—to the complete operational shielding of these platforms, which isolate users in inaccessible customer support loops when systems fail.

1. Support Bottlenecks: The Wall of Inaccessibility

The real-world experience of enterprise users facing critical issues with OpenAI highlights a growing industry trend: replacing human support with automated walls.

  • Endless Redirects and Bots: When operational errors occur due to inaccurate system output, users are directed to automated help centers (help.openai.com). These portals continuously loop users back to pre-written documentation or AI assistants incapable of handling non-standard issues.
  • Non-Responsive Support Emails: Official mailboxes respond with automated rejection notices (“This is an automated response… please do not reply”), instructing users to return to the very chatbots they are trying to escalate past.
  • Authentication and SSO Friction: Integration via Single Sign-On (SSO) and third-party login systems creates technical locks where subscription changes or session resets prevent access even to community forums.community.openai.com).
  • Zero Human Escalation: The service architecture is deliberately built to friction-lock communication, forcing users to waste valuable time navigating dead-end support pathways.

2. Impact on Executive Workflows: Risks of LLM Reliance in High-Level Consulting

In strategic projects—whether designing web architecture, applying methodologies like the Work Design Innovation Framework (WDIR), or preparing executive reports—using OpenAI without a strict analytical filter introduces severe operational risks.

Analysis DimensionChatGPT Plus PromiseReal-World Operational Risks
Architecture & CodeFast script generation and plugin/theme recommendations.Outdated suggestions, dependency conflicts, and configuration errors requiring manual refactoring.
Data ConsistencyRapid synthesis of complex texts.Scope drift, vague generalizations, and lack of technical precision in specialized domains.
Business ContinuityAccelerated project delivery.Unplanned downtime caused by troubleshooting errors generated by the AI’s own recommendations.
Governance & AccountabilityOngoing platform support.Complete absence of vendor liability for indirect losses or technical rework.

The Imperative for Critical Autonomy

Using Large Language Models (LLMs) developed by tech giants like OpenAI demands a pragmatically critical approach. AI can serve as a preliminary drafting tool, but never as a technical authority or a substitute for expert human oversight.

For consultants, researchers, and executives, the key takeaway is clear: code validation, digital architecture, and strategic review must remain centered on human expertise. Entrusting the governance of a critical project to a platform that shields itself from human support is an unnecessary business risk.

TIME TO TAKE ACTION

I was betrayed by ChatGPT. I know there are directives. But who wrote these directives? It is imposed! I wrote an email demanding compensation. This email never reached a human being. Why? Because the President, CEO, and Board created forms that forbid contact with them. Why? Why? Because they sell a bad product and they know that there will be many complaints. Time to put these guys in their rightful room: prosecute them through the justice system, and if it was considered a bad commercial practice, or power abuse!

Note: many of these big techs are more powerful than many countries/states. It is inadmissible! It is time to reconsider the political freedom of states and countries against these big techs!

Note #1: Finally, a human from OpenAI answered my email requiring compensation. After many days. I replied: You should make the human channel available more easily, and your advice about the limitations of AI MUST be more visible!

Note #2: I replied from the message above from a “human” and… This channel is not available!!! Very good. Respect the clients! Oh! Too much OpenAI!
